Steam Carpet Cleaning Method
If you go with the option that most people choose, you will choose steam carpet cleaning or hot water extraction. The steam is a great newer version of the carpet cleaning that you may have used in the past. It uses far less water and in turn makes it so that the carpets can dry faster and be ready for foot traffic and use quicker. The way it works is the cleaner is added to the carpet and left to become activated. The water in the machine is heated up and turned to steam that is applied to the cleaner and the carpet. The steam will activate the cleaner. The steam will leave some amount of water on the carpet that will need to be extracted. This is when the professional uses the high powered vacuum to remove the excess water along with the cleaner and the dirt. This a great deep cleaning option and is sure to leave the carpet looking and feeling clean.
Dry Carpet Cleaning
If you decide to go with the other option you will be choosing to use the dry cleaning method. As the name suggests this option will allow you to walk on the carpet as soon as the cleaning process is complete. The cleaner is added to the carpet and is left to set for a few minutes. The cleaner is activated by a very small amount of water that is minimal and is not noticeable. The dry cleaner will work on the dirt and grime and can be removed with a high pressure vacuum. The vacuum will suck up all the cleaner and dirt and will leave the carpet clean and ready to live on. The con is that the cleaner tends to have smell that can be annoying for a few days. It can also leave a small amount of residue that may not feel great to the touch. And it isn’t as deep a clean as the steam cleaning method.
